Many women can attest to having men make very sloppy attempts to physically escalate.

She shows a little glimmer of interest, and the next thing she knows, the guy is barreling in for a kiss. Heck, sometimes the guy charges in for a kiss, and she didn’t give him ANY signals that she was ready!

So, when is the right time to go for the kiss? When is the right time to escalate, more generally?

Answer: When the escalation window is FULLY open.

Not when it first cracks open!

Not when we wish it were open!

When it opens all the way up, and we can smoothly pass through it; that’s the right time.

Now, we don’t want to let it hang open for too long. If we don’t make our move at some point, the window can close on us.

Still, a belligerent attempt to physically escalate when the woman isn’t ready, or when she’s barely ready, usually results in some form of buyer’s remorse. In other words, she’s going to think twice before giving us any more readiness signals when she knows we’re ready to pounce.

Learning how to play “solid game” can take time and patience, but it’s worth it.
