Rajasthan Speaker CP Joshi on Wednesday challenged the Rajasthan High Court order that deferred the disqualification of former deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot and his loyalist 18 Members of Legislative Assembly amid an ongoing spat and fallout with Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and the Congress party. “The Constitution has a well-defined role of a Speaker and I have the complete authority to issue a show-cause notice to Sachin Pilot and other MLAs. The court cannot infringe on the Speaker’s order. I have asked my counsel to file SLP in Supreme Court,” Joshi said in Jaipur.
