The Rose Bargain is one of those books that sneaks up on you. It starts slow, but when it hooks you, it doesn't let go. It's sweeping, romantic, and utterly enchanting.
When I first picked up The Rose Bargain by Sasha Peyton Smith, I wasn't sure what to expect. The premise immediately drew me in - a society where every citizen is granted one life-altering bargain with the immortal fae queen. High society girls trade priceless parts of themselves - like their happiest memory or the ability to taste - for beauty, charm, or talent to help them land a suitor.
It sounded enchanting and unsettling all at once, and I couldn't wait to dive in.
I'll be honest, it took me a little while to really sink into the story however once the competition began, the plot exploded with intrigue, tension, and twists. I couldn't put it down after that. I had to know what would happen next.

It has themes of sacrifice, ambition, and what we're willing to give up for those we love. Then there's the ending. Oh, that ending. I'm still thinking about it. What do I need to do to get my hands on a proof copy of the next book? Seriously.
