Typical Reinforcement in Isolated Footing

Описание к видео Typical Reinforcement in Isolated Footing

In this video we will be learning about typical reinforcement in isolated footing, also known as pad or spread footings via 3D animation.

Isolated footings are a type of shallow foundations which are provided under each column individually. They can be sloped footings or step footings, as per design or construction requirements but reinforcement detailing is more or less the same in each kind. As concrete is weak in tension, reinforcement will be required to resist the tension and bending forces in the footing. Types of reinforcement used in isolated footings are: Bottom reinforcement, top reinforcement, stirrups and column rebars.
