i'm not mad that i got less than 4 hours of sleep last night. i'm not mad that a wasp stung me in the eye socket yesterday and my face swolt up like jeep from the old popeye cartoons. i aint even mad that movie maker crashed like 40 times whilst i was editing this movie. there's a shocker. (the sarcastic kind, not the three finger kind.) what gets my proverbial goat is math.
yep, math. as in counting. the counting i did at the end of AVALANCHE, during the FOUR PLUS MINUTES OF CREDITS AND PRODUCTION COMPANY LOGOS! what, you may ask, was i counting? ...names. round abouts 2000 names. even after subtracting (more math!) all the kickstarter contributors there were listed, it was still pushing 250 people and companies that worked on this one episode! two hunred and fitty!
Allow me to paraphrase Joel when he told an interviewer that MST would not exist if they had tried to produce it in hollywood instead of keeping their midwestern sensibilities and making it in Minnesota, without interference from corporate tools who didn't understand the show at all. (cough-sci-fi-cough) just look at what happened to MST3K the movie.
for comparison's sake i counted the credits on my next OverScore, episode #1005 THE BLOOD WATERS OF DR. Z. hmmm. exact same run time, one minute of credits, (that means three more minutes of show)and 38 names. thirty plus eight. that's all, folks. even i can do that math. anybody wanna bet on which episode gets a higher OverScore? somebody better fix season 12 if they want a season 13. cut the dead weight. there is no excuse for Patton Oswalt to be NOT funny... none. get back to your roots, soon. #MAKEMST3KGREATAGAIN "good enuff" aint cutting it. i guess the point i'm tryin ta make is, I FUKKIN HATE MATH.
