People have long asked me if I've ever done a playthrough of Super Metroid Impossible - Which is a romhack made in 2006 by Saturn. At the time, it was meant to be a savestates/TAS only run, but since then players have become much better at the game and the hack itself is playable by runners who choose to put the time and dedication into it.

The TL;DR of whether I have played it before is this: I did couch commentary for Oats Speedrun of Super Metroid Impossible at AGDQ 2020 - Prior to that run, I played through the game in the practice rom, and if memory serves correctly only used save stations as the checkpoints. I don't recall ever benefitting from the practice rom other than that it provided quick saves and quick loads. That being said, I was following Oats speedrun of the game so that I could provide commentary, and thus I never did a "casual" playthrough of it.

It has been long enough since then that I had forgotten many aspects of the game, and people kept asking me to do a playthrough of it and post it, so here you go!

This playthrough was a Zenithon incentive from the Winter 2024 Zenithon I did, and I had a lot of fun with it!
