In this keynote presentation, author and educator Jake S. Friedman and animation historian Tom Sito sit down to explore the 14-year journey of writing the story behind the 1941 Disney strike.

Friedman not only looks at the back story and the key agitator behind the strike, but the process it took to complete a book that the Disney company did not want to see made.

From the initial concept and working with the widow of Art Babbitt, to unlocking mysteries of the Disney studio by way of uncovering lost records, Friedman masterfully weaves a story that shows the human side of the most significant union war in animation history.
