IPA Deputy Executive Director Daniel Wild says Queensland’s criminal justice system is “fundamentally broken”.

Mr Wild joined Sky News host Rita Panahi to discuss the ongoing youth crime crisis in Queensland.

“We’re incarcerating the wrong people,” he said.

“There’s a lot of non-violent offenders who are in jails.

“Now they shouldn’t be in jail because they’re not a risk to the safety of the community – they should be punished but jail isn’t the right spot for them.”
