When the legendary cast of Uunchai — Anupam Kher, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta, and Sarika — landed on The Kapil Sharma Show, the vibe was pure joy mixed with some high-altitude madness (literally). Kapil didn’t waste a second before pulling Anupam Kher’s leg, joking about his fitness and Everest mission like he was prepping for the Olympics!
Then came the biggest revelation: Anupam Kher, the ever-confident actor, was actually terrified of helicopters. But Uunchai changed all that — he had to survive a one-and-a-half-hour chopper ride to Mount Everest base camp. Meanwhile, Boman Irani couldn’t stop laughing and mimicking him, saying it looked like Anupam was being taken straight to heaven, not Everest. And just when you thought it couldn’t get funnier, the two started recreating their iconic Khosla Ka Ghosla scene — in mid-air!

The duo couldn’t stop praising Sooraj Barjatya, the man behind Uunchai, calling him the only director who says “please” before asking for retakes and thanks everyone like he’s hosting a family pooja. Anupam even joked, “He’s so soft-spoken, sometimes I wonder if he’s giving direction or blessings!” Boman added that Sooraj sir’s politeness is so infectious, even the spot boy started saying “thank you” before handing over chai.
Just when things were warming up, in walks Kiku Sharda as Badshah Akbar, not on a ghoda but straight from Everest! Claiming he was the original mountaineer, he announced, “Humne toh pahadon ka GST bhi lagaya tha!” Everyone burst out laughing as Akbar went on to demand “Everest tax” and declared Sherpas as his royal bodyguards.
Then came the emotional avalanche. The stars shared how tough the shoot was — thin oxygen, freezing temperatures, and mountains taller than their career spans! Neena Gupta said even taking selfies at that height felt like cardio. Sarika shared that the Himalayas taught her peace, while Anupam nodded like a monk who just got Wi-Fi in the mountains.
And just when we thought it couldn’t get more legendary, they started talking about the Amitabh Bachchan. Boman said working with Big B is like attending a masterclass in humility and discipline. Anupam added, “He’s so punctual, I set my watch by his arrival!” The admiration in their voices proved that even Bollywood veterans turn into fans when Big B is around.
Adding a cherry on top, a fan from the audience shared a personal struggle and how the trailer of Uunchai inspired them. The moment turned deeply emotional — even Kapil paused the jokes and offered a salute to real-life courage.
