This lesson walks you through the basics on how to write metal riffs that sound like Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Pantera, and other metal classics. By combining our minor scale with two notoriously evil sounding intervals, the flat 2 and the tritone, we get a set of notes that is very easy to compose with in the metal genre.
