Presented by Dr. Mario Maselis, this webinar explains the role of genetics in different types of dementia, including Alzheimer’s dementia (AD) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Specifically, Dr. Masellis discusses the complex nature of the genetics of AD and FTD, as it relates to late onset sporadic forms vs. early onset familial cases. Dr. Masellis introduces two of his studies, which as of May 2024 were recruiting new participants: DIAN-TU and GENFI. Both studies can be found on https://tdn.alz.to/research-studies/.
