Eggun pa Cha Chá

Описание к видео Eggun pa Cha Chá

Synopsis. Eggun is the ritual funeral ceremony offered to illustrious deceased Afro-Cuban priests who left a considerable number of consecrated godchildren. Guided by the chants to the Eggunes (spirits) in the mouths of several generations of singers (awpones), they are versed in the Lucumí language sung in Cuba.
This ceremony was dedicated to Esteban Vega Bacallao, known worldwide as "Cha cha", the flagship percussionist of the most important Cuban rumba group of all times, Los Munequitos de Matanzas, drummer Quinto el improvisador (Quinto the improviser).
