Описание к видео 2006 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG W211 M113K V8 Kompressor Airmatics leak after 12 miles 😂😭😂Love this car!

In this episode, we'll go over a quick and easy way of diagnosing which side of your airmatic struts is bad. The airmatic system consist of a compressor that supplies air to the valve block which then distributes the air to all corners.

There are various sensors and modules that are the brain behind the system but generally speaking, leaks can usually be traced back to those 3 components that I mentioned (compressor, valve block, air strut). Please ask me how I know...... 2004 Audi Allroad 4.2, 2007 Audi S8, and 2006 E55 AMG.

First, try to lift the vehicle up with the controller and see if you can hear the compressor running. There's a relay that will cut power to the compressor if it detects long running time. Long running time usually means either there's a leak in the strut, valve block not supplying air appropriately, or sensor not detecting changing ride height correctly.

In this instance, the front strut was sagging like your grandma but only on one side so made my job pretty easy. You can check the exposed air bladder that runs along the aluminum housing of your strut with a box wrench. Keep in mind there's compressed air within the bladder so don't go poking too hard, treat it like a first date. Soft and gentle touches you animal.

If the bladder is taut and firm (put a ring on it - just kidding don't be a boob and use your money for car parts) that means it's able to hold air and you can move to the next one.

Notice in the video, how the left side is soft and moves when I push with the wrench??? Houston, we have a problem!!! You've just located your leak. Make sure you trace the air line from the top of the strut to make sure it's not broken or something.

good luck and let me know if you have any questions.
