In this video I wanted to talk some more about the lighting settings inside of Blender – what your options are, as well as some things you can adjust to make your lighting more realistic.
So to start off, let’s create a light. You can do this by adding it as an object in object mode.
What can you adjust when creating lights?
Color of lighting emitted
Power/strength of light emitted
Specular affects the way that they light acts when it hits objects – leave at 1
Radius – sets the size of the light source
Point Light Settings Overview
Spot Light Settings Overview
Area Light Settings Overview
Sunlight
This creates a light from an infinite distance away that casts shadows in your scene
Emitter Settings Overview
