Sheoldred is still the bully of Standard in Mardoom Meta Hating Control! (M:tG Arena)

For a control player like me, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse is a beautiful wincon! If you can resolve it and protect it, you win according to the rules of MtG. What's not to like? In this Mardu list, we're accompanying her with all of the interaction she needs to carry us to victory! We're also packing all the hate we should need to succeed in the format! We're taking aim at the format with Doorkeeper Thrull! Deep Cavern Bats are lowly 1/1 flyers and Caretaker's Talents can take their talents somewhere else, when all of their powerful triggers are stifled into oblivion! Inkeeper's Talent is also an extremely powerful and popular card. Stroke of Midnight answers it (and every other nonland permanent) cleanly at instant speed, leaving our opponents a 1/1 instead of drawing them 2 cards like Get Lost often does! Misery's Shadow is a great threat that makes combat a nightmare for our opponents, while ensuring that Mosswood Dreadknights and Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal stay gone for good when they die, and serving as a fast clock on an empty board! Binding Negotiation and Duress keep Shelley safe from all of those sweepers and spot removal while disrupting our opponents gameplan! Cards like Go For the Throat, Cut Down and Lightning Helix demonstrate that Mardu is where you want to be for interaction in this meta! There's nothing too fancy here. We're just packing the best interaction and wincon that the format has to offer, while hating on popular strategies! Let's bully the opposition and win some games!
