My Beautiful Misery.

In 2023, at the age of 64, I solo hiked the John Muir Trail. I took 16 days to complete, what was a trip of a lifetime. As someone that's been backpacking in the Sierra for 55 years I expected this to be a super chill/easy stroll through the Sierra. What I found out was the John Muir Trail is a serious undertaking. While gorgeous, pristine, magical, and serene it was also rugged, cold, painful, and relentless. This is the story of my journey. I hope you enjoy it.
