⚠️ Elevated Water Levels in the Roer
The water level of the Roer is rising again. Due to the high water levels, lower areas along the Roer are submerged. The water discharge may surpass the levels seen around Christmas. Closures:

Message 2: Friday, January 5
⚠️ Update on Elevated Water Levels in the Roer
The water level of the Roer is slowly receding. The peak in Vlodrop occurred last night. It is expected that the water will also start receding in Melick, Sint Odiliënberg, and Lerop by the afternoon. This descent is anticipated to continue through the weekend.
We will continue to monitor the water level in collaboration with the Hoogwaterwacht Vlodrop and Waterschap Limburg.
🚧 All closed roads will remain inaccessible throughout the weekend.

⚠️ Final Update on High Water
The water level of the Roer is decreasing, and there is no longer a risk to residents. Therefore, we are concluding updates on high water. The live blog on our website will also be closed.
✅ Effelderweg, Krukkumweg, and Grootbroekweg will reopen today.
