Yuan Shao's musou mode, like all the Others musou modes, is considerably shorter than Wei/Wu/Shu. Yuan Shao is the only one to fight the Yellow Turbans however. To compensate for the lack of levels the Other musou modes start on a higher difficulty, even the Yellow Turban stages go up in difficulty for Yuan Shao's story mode. This helps him have a level 7-9 weapon by the end of his musou mode.
