So it is now time to actually use the little beast. In previous videos we added features to the synth, but now we can use it. Ok, truth be told, I do introduce a few changes, but oh well.......

We create a trumpet like sound from scratch which works in a similar way to a conventional subtractive synth. We create a sawtooth wave, then create a filter like sweep which sounds like a standard low pass filter. I chose this because most people watching will probably be familiar with subtractive synthesis. It shows the power of additive synthesis, and also shows its weakness (hint, it is difficult and time consuming to do what comes naturally for the subtractive synth). Enjoy.
