কসোভো বিশ্বের সর্বশেষ স্বাধীন মুসলিম রাষ্ট্র। নানান অত্যাচার নির্যাতনের পরও দেশটি ইউরোপের মাটিতে ইসলামের স্মারক বুকে নিয়ে টিকে আছে। যুদ্ধবিধ্বস্ত এই দেশটি এখন নিজেদের নতুন করে গুছিয়ে নেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছে। অর্থনৈতিকভাবেও ধিরে ধিরে উন্নতি করছে এই ছোট্ট দেশটি। প্রাকৃতিকভাবে বলকানের অন্যান্য দেশের মতোই অত্যন্ত সমৃদ্ধ দেশ এটি। মুসলিম সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ হওয়ার কারনে কসোভোতে রয়েছে অনেক চমৎকার মসজিদ, যা পর্যটকদের হাতছানি দিয়ে ডাকে। এখানকার মানুষজনও অত্যন্ত সদয় প্রকৃতির।
