Gephyrophobia or "Bridge Phobia", is an irrational fear of crossing bridges that can cause mild anxiety to panic attacks. It can be triggered by buildup of stress and often involves catastrophic thinking, such as worrying the bridge will collapse or feeling a loss of control or going over the guard rail. It can be associated with the fear of heights, water and claustrophobia

Cairo Mississippi River Bridge crosses the Mississippi River from Missouri to Cairo, Illinois and was built in 1929. The second bridge, the U.S. 51 Ohio River Bridge, also known as the Wickliffe-Cairo Bridge, crosses the Ohio River from Cairo, Illinois to Wickliffe, Kentucky and was completed in 1938.
