El «Corrido al Padre Grande» lo escribió Jorge Palencia inmediatamente después del asesinato de la gente de la iglesia en Aguilares. El cantautor salvadoreño la grabó en los estudios de la emisora católica YSAX: La Voz Panamericana. Guillermo Cuéllar (Piquín) la dio a conocer en su programa: «¡Qué pasa en el mundo!» donde se difundía los grandes éxitos de la Nueva Canción Latinoamericana.

The "Corrido al Padre Grande" is a song written by Jorge Palencia right afterward the assassination of church people in Aguilares. The Salvadoran singer-songwriter recorded it in the studios of the Catholic station (YSAX). Guillermo Cuéllar (Piquín) introduced it in his program «What happens in the World!», one of the most popular radio shows that broadcasted the greatest hits from the New Latin American Song and the songwriting of the emerging Salvadoran singer-performers in the late 70s.
