This is Part 3 of my three part series on scouting for elk hunts in areas that get a ton of hunting pressure. Over-the-counter elk hunting areas in Colorado, tags you can draw with a couple points, remote Forest Service and Wilderness... Difficult hunts for any elk hunter.

In Part 3, I talk about a couple topics that rarely get discussed. I first cover how to look for hunting locations near wilderness and private land borders. Then some tips and tricks on finding additional information on how and when that private land will be hunted. I then cover outfitter camps in the wilderness, how to locate them and plan accordingly.
