DESCRIPTION FOR VIDEO”
FUN WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY BY USING GAMES EXERCISING YOUR BRAIN. Part of the new series COPING WITH EVERYTHING –MEMORY ISSUES.
How can you increase your memory? Scientists say by exercising your brain and by learning new things. How do you find ways to keep learning?
A fun way to keep learning and exercise the brain is with everyday games.

Recently scientists have discovered that no matter what your age if yoou continue to learn, yoour brain will continue to grow and not atrophy.

They have found if you exercise your brain you will remain young longer. Recent studies also show that by exercising the brain by learning and solving puzzles that it can impede or slow down Alzheimer’s disease, even if you are genetically predisposed.

As seniors we may not want to go back to school to learn. But just by playing games it can help our brain to stay flexible. Games of Cards like bridge, canasta, pinochle, Cjess, checkers, and other board games like Monopoly can also stimulate and “massage” the brain and thus our memory..

If you can get together and play games with others the stimulation of interacting also can exercise the brain.
