2024 Neta S wagon in-depth Walkaround

Neta, a prominent NEV brand introduced by Hozon Auto in 2018, has steadily expanded its lineup, which now includes the Aya, X, and L crossovers, the S sedan, and the GT coupe. Notably, the Neta S and Neta L models offer both BEV and EREV variants. On August 13, Neta further expanded its offerings by initiating presales for its sixth model, the Neta S wagon.

The Neta S wagon is built on the new Shanhai 2.0 platform and features an EREV variant powered by the Haozhi 2.0 system. This variant includes a 1.5-liter DAM15HE naturally aspirated petrol engine from Harbin Dongan Auto Engine, a subsidiary of Changan. The engine produces a peak power of 70 kW (94 hp), though it functions solely as a generator, not transmitting torque directly to the wheels.

This wagon is equipped with a single TZ210XS002 electric motor positioned on the rear axle, delivering a peak power of 200 kW (268 hp). Buyers can choose between two battery options: a 31.7 kWh LFP battery made by Gotion or Jiangsu CATL, or a 43.9 kWh ternary NMC battery produced by EVE Energy.

According to data from MIIT, the Neta S wagon offers a range of 125 to 185 km, depending on the selected battery. However, Neta claims the vehicle can achieve up to 300 km in electric-only mode, with a combined range of up to 1,200 km.

In terms of dimensions, the Neta S wagon measures 4,980 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, offering ample space for passengers and cargo. The generous 2,980 mm wheelbase ensures a roomy interior, while the dual-level trunk, which provides 593 liters of storage, can be expanded to 1,295 liters with the rear seats folded down, offering substantial cargo capacity.
