Magnus Carlsen CONTROVERSY: 5-time Chess World Championship winner Magnus Carlsen was at the centre of controversy in the 2024 World Rapid and Blitz Championship on Saturday, 28 December. Carlsen quit the FIDE championship after he was fined for improper dress code. Carlsen had worn jeans, which is not allowed by the chess federation. The legendary chess star took a cheeky dig at the federation after quitting the tournament and posted a photo on social media about his Outfit Of The Day (OOTD). Carlsen's post quickly went viral on social media with fans questioning the rules of the competition.
