It all started with a caravan fire. A fire, towards the end of the 1920s, which, instead of killing a young banjo player, gave him several burns and a new way to make music. A family drama, which took Jean Reinhardt from the ashes of a gypsy camp to the great international stages. Jean, known to all as "Django", came out of that hell without the use of one leg, the right one, and two fingers of his left hand. Braving the serious risk of gangrene, he decided to join his little finger and ring finger together, thus forming a sort of improvised mobile nut.

From then on, the life of this Belgian guitarist is history. A great exponent of jazz, he introduced the rhythmic innovations of gypsy music into the traditional canons, effectively giving life to Jazz Manouche. The Hot Club was born from the passion for this genre of jazz.

Three young musicians, all coming from different country and musical experiences, meet with the intention of undertaking an innovative path in the footsteps of their masters. Their repertoire includes songs that start from the Manouche tradition up to the most recent evolutions, making us breathe a 1930s atmosphere infected by modern, vivid, new elements.
