Leslie Allen Jordan, born on April 29, 1955, and passing away on October 24, 2022, was a talented American actor, comedian, writer, and singer. He appeared on television in various roles, such as Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace from 2001 to 2006 and then reprising the role from 2017 to 2020.
He also showcased his versatility in the American Horror Story series from 2013 to 2019, playing multiple characters. In addition, he entertained audiences as Sid on The Cool Kids from 2018 to 2019, Phil on Call Me Kat from 2021 to 2022, and Lonnie Garr on Hearts Afire from 1993 to 1995.
On the stage, Leslie portrayed Earl "Brother Boy" Ingram in the play Sordid Lives in 1996, later bringing the character to life in the 2000 film adaptation of the same name. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Leslie Jordan found a new platform for his humor and wit, becoming a popular contributor on Instagram, where he amassed 5.8 million followers by 2020.
