Gurdwara Shri Bahr Sahib is located in village Bahr of District Patiala Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji left Dhamdhan Sahib during his journey to Malwa and came to Behar on Katak Vadi
5 Samant 1723 along with his family. Later, a Sikh carpenter named Mallan bowed down and took him to his house, the Maya served the Maya. Malle Sikh served Guru Sahib and continued to fill his fists all night, and continued to speak words of knowledge. The next day at Amrit time Guru Sahib was reciting Nitta-Neem after taking bath in Sarusti that people from the village gathered and bowed down to Guru Sahib and requested that Maharaj we are very poor, remove our poverty.
Guru Sahib said, "Brother, give up tobacco, then poverty will be removed." People said that we cannot give up tobacco, so Guru Sahib said that if we had given up tobacco today, then poverty would have been removed today. It will be far away and a very heavy pilgrimage will be made and the one who cleanses his heart and bathes twelve times, his mind will be fulfilled and sorrows will be cut off. After staying for three days and two nights, Guru Sahib went to Kaithal on Katak Vadi 7 Samant 1723, after courting a carpenter named Malle and borrowing Tilok Das Sadh.
