Converting the Roces 1992 Malta Rex skates to be UFS

Step one - remove liners and laces

Step two - use a star (Phillips head) screwdriver and a hammer to hit out the rivets that are securing the rec frame to the boot

Step three - remove frame. Some of the harder to reach rivets at the front can be hit out only 3/4 of the way and then a little force can pop them out when removing the frame

Step four - fit T nuts inside boot and line up the new soul plate

Step five - lightly screw in the screws to hold the soul plate to the boot. It’s easier to start with the front and work your way to the back.

Step six - for best results tighten with a drill. It will get the screws much tighter and the T nuts better pressed into the boot

Step seven - attach your favorite frames and wheels

Step Eight - get out and skate
