This video covers the proper way to secure the wheelchair into the van.

Thinks to watch out for:

1) Slack in the system - make sure the front straps have not looped across the top of the footrest.

2) Make sure your lap belt is low enough on the clients waist.

3) Make sure the shoulder strap is looped under the left wheelchair handle.

4) Always ask your client's nurse, care attendant, or the client if there are any feeding tubes or picc lines you should be aware of, and position the lap and shoulder belts accordingly.

Remember: Slack Is Your Enemy!
