Situated 4 hours south of San Jose, the Sloth Sanctuary of Costa Rica is the first official Sloth Rescue Center in the country. It is NOT a Zoo but a safe haven for sloths who are injured, handicapped and abandoned.

Our friend and grandson of the founder, Jeffery Rochte gave us an "Insider's tour" of the sanctuary, which allowed us to come close to these beautiful creatures.
