So called because it's made of a diamond-coated hardened steel.

Always start with a clean pair of secateurs. You can use some soapy water and a rough sponge to scrub off any sap or cutting residue, if it's really stuck on then then you could also try some WD40 and wire wool.

Grip your secateurs as shown with the bevel edge of the blade facing toward you. Now using the flat side of the sharpening stone apply light pressure and rub in a circular motion. You're aiming to work at a rough 23-degree angle here. Work down from the tip of the blade to the base and then back up again. Then use the edge of the tool. Apply light pressure but this time with a steeper angle, you're aiming for 60 degrees. Pull down the edge of the blade.

The last step it to turn over your secateurs and correct an burring or roughness that has occurred from this sharpening process. Aiming for just a very slight 5-degree angle, run the flat edge down the length of the blade.

That's it, your trusty secateurs are sharp once again. If your secateurs need sharpening then you can buy a Felco sharpening tool like this one at World of Felco.co.uk. Thanks for watching.
