Nuclear Regulators say 'No' for the 1st time on restart of Tsuruga power plant’s no.2 reactor

Japan's Nuclear Regulation Authority finalizes a review report that says the No. 2 reactor at the Tsuruga nuclear power plant in Fukui Prefecture, central Japan, does not comply with safety standards due to the possibility that there is an active seismic fault beneath the unit.This is the first time that the authority denied the restart of a nuclear power plant since the body was launched after the 2011 Fukushima incident.
