The Shada (six) Darshanas i.e. Nyaya, Vaiseshika, Sankhya, Yoga, Purva Mimamsa and Uttar Mimamsa are oft quoted by many Indic historians and philosophers, however, have you ever wondered what it is all about? They are deep intellectual and theological views of Bharat to guide one on the path to practically realize 'Truth' of existence and the cosmos and they employ dynamic viewpoints giving a wholesome view to the seeker.

In this talk delve into the Shada Darshanas through Prof. Kapil Kapoor who is an authority, a doyen and a pioneer in the field of Indian Knowledge Systems.

Professor of English in JNU and where he also established the Centre for Sanskrit Studies

He is the Editor in Chief of the unique 11 volume set of The Encyclopaedia of Hinduism
And also of the Sahitya Akademi Sponsored and yet to be published - Encyclopaedia of Indian Poetics which is also a UNESCO project
