PINKO Love Classic Icon Simply Leather Bag REVEAL

Pinko is an Italian women's fashion brand that started in the 1980s. The founder is current CEO Pietro Negra and his wife Cristina Rubini. They have over 500 retail outlets worldwide (2016). Mark Fast, Alessandra Facchinetti, and Marina Spadafora are designers who have contributed to the brand. Pinko bags are all designed in Italy, and are mostly manufactured in Italy and other countries in the Mediterranean region. A handful of items are produced in China, however.

I said this bad was Gucci Marmont or Dionysus inspired, but when did those bags come out? Maybe it's the other way around... Nope, I just checked - The Dionysus came out in 2015, the Pinko love in 2016.

The logo consisting of flying swallows was intentional. The aim was to convey freedom and the coming of spring, which is on brand with the company's mission of supplying clothing/fashion for self-sufficient women. I think it's beautiful - LOVE the symmetry and simplicity.

My bag dimensions: H: 16.5cm x W: 26.5cm x D: 7cm. Strap Drop: 53cm (106cm all around)

Interesting side note: The word Pinko was also created in 1925 in the United States as a (unfriendly) term to describe a person sympathetic to communism. Since then, it been applied to people perceived as having radical leftist or socialist inclinations.
