Original NBC Broadcast (CBC-Canada) with Curt Gowdy, Harry Caray , and Tony Kubek from Busch Memorial Stadium with the series tied at 3 game each the final deciding Game 7 of the 1968 World Series in B&W Kinescope, Recorded and Digitalized off a Pre-recorded DVD discs and a commercial VHS of the MLB 1968 World Series film, which follows Game 7 and has been recently restored /remastered.
The climactic Game 7 matched the well-rested Bob Gibson against Mickey Lolich, working on just two days rest. They matched shutout innings until the top of the seventh. After two men were out, Kaline and Norm Cash singled. Northrup followed with a long fly to center field, where defensive standout Curt Flood misjudged the ball. Northrup got a triple, both runners scoring. Bill Freehan then doubled in Northrup. Both clubs scored a single run in the ninth to make the final Detroit 4, St. Louis 1 Lolich racking up his third World Series victory. Mickey Lolich with the complete game, and an undefeated 'win 68 Series (3-0) giving up only 1 run on just 5 Cardinal hits while striking out 4 and walking 1. while Bob Gibson also pitches a solid complete game, and the misjudged fly ball from CF Curt Flood in the 7th proved costly, as Detroit scores 3 runs, Gibson with the loss (2-1) gives up 4 runs on 8 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1.
Complete with Post Game celebration and interviews and includes NBC Huntley Brinkley Report segments from 10/2 and 10/10 with Chet Huntley reporting from New York, and David Brinkley from Washington.
