Hasbro Studio Series SS-112 Optimus Prime and SS-114 Megatron Transformation Sequence

Stop-Motion Transformation of Hasbro Studio Series SS-112 Optimus Prime and SS-114 Megatron. I really enjoyed the movie. I know Megatron’s head is supposed to rotate 360 to be in the chest, but there is no compelling reason to do that and it made the head reveal more clean. Studio Series is becoming less discernible from the less complicated mainline toys. But that might also be a function of them having pretty simple shape changes in the movie itself.

Production Note: Why not do head turns? The main reason might be that I’m lazy, but also Prime doesn’t really have any flat spots on the bottoms of his feet to use to stick him to the platform, so a head turn in his case in particular would be incredibly tedious or there would be a wad of visible putty during the whole turn. My inclination is to make sure the turn itself is nice and clean. Shortest video ever? Maybe.
