Most people SKIP this part of the Camino de Santiago

Today's vlog is a rather emotional one. After spending nearly every day with people I met along The Way, many of whom I have been with since the beginning, we say our goodbyes and I set out on my own.

The Spanish Meseta has a reputation for being grueling and often the most difficult part of the entire Camino de Santiago (Frances route). It's hot, dry, and there is not much along the trail besides some small villages and towns. But I have always thought it was part of the Camino for a reason (other than historical purposes) - maybe all those aspects of the Meseta combine to create an experience that helps you turn inwards and do the work this journey asks of you. As I walk this section of the Camino de Santiago on my own, I realize why most people skip it and also experience a deep transformation within myself.
