Morbidi I Mnoći - Put (2022 Remaster)

Описание к видео Morbidi I Mnoći - Put (2022 Remaster)

Remix of Put rendered with B&W video.
This is first video in remastered series of Morbidi I Mnoci music.
Original master tapes are lost, so all work was done on Mp3 file rendered probably from master tape. I have used Studio One 5 for post processing and added Spatial Sound, changed dynamics and EQ, did some compression and leveling. Unfortunately, there is not much that you can do with Mp3 file, but I am happy with results, considering all hurdles.
This song was created during sessions in Branko Hendrix studio in Belgrade. Main idea was to progress harmonics in flamenco style G, F, Ab, C, C#, Bb and build around with guitar theme which I developed around some ideas that were based on influence of how John McGeoch would play around basic melody, and adding oriental progression scale. It simply clicked instantly. Words are by Debeli (Milorad Milinkovic) and bass progression is all Mario Separovic enormous talent. It simply kicks ass. Drums programming and production were done by Branko (don't ask me real surname, everybody was calling him Branko Hendrix) and boy, did he accomplish an amazing job. We owe him a lot. Of course, he was mainly guitar player, thus awesome guitar production.
I have took away colour from video, as if we ever had a chance to produce our own video, it would be probably done in some tower on Kalemegdan with us performing strange rituals rigorously in B&W. Just like Square Hammer video from Ghost (great fan BTW). Instead we have our only video done by Belgrade TV knockoff Pop Of The Tops transmission and we are dressed as Spandau Ballet. Still did not made peace with this... So I have removed colour and made all of us like like zombies. Sorry for all fans of yellow tint colour in original video...
Fun facts:
Our drummer, Nebojsa Curcic wears a carton board with Yamacsa Ritam Masina as song was originally recorded with drum machine. Talking about playback...
My favorite guitar harmonics part (3.25) always throwed off Debeli from the tune when we were performing live
Last words that you hear at the end of the track is Debeli asking "How was it?" (Kako je ovo sad?) and it is question for studio audience if he performed well in take. We just left it in the track.
Original video had track not synced, I have fixed this.
Thumbnail for song is Babylon The Great from St. James Bible
