In this video we cover some of the form validation tips and tricks and usability tips and tricks for Power Apps custom forms. There are certain things that ARE apparent in power apps, there are certain things that are NOT so apparent and here are some of my guiding principles with dealing with usability and form validation. It may seem pretty obvious to set required fields on a site column in the SharePoint list, when you need a field to be required, but once you dig deep into the solution (especial in Power Automate or wizard style forms) that having the required field on the site column quickly becomes a bad decision.
