In 1995 Plasmatreat developed an atmospheric plasma jet and was the first company in the world to integrate plasma in-line. Plasmatreat took the benefits of vacuum plasma technology and adapted it to an atmospheric jet to make it easy to automate and usable on an industrial scale. Today this high-tech process is used for the environmentally friendly and highly effective cleaning, activating und coating of material surfaces.

This origin is another reason why R&D and the transfer between research and industry is so crucial for the company. Every year Plasmatreat invests 12% of its annual turnover in research and development.

Since its beginnings, Plasmatreat has continuously developed its technology and established it as a new standard across all industries.
