Life's hardships can be overwhelming and obscure one's sense of purpose and self-worth. At these times, serving others with intention can restore a sense of fulfillment in life. By applying talents, making a conscious effort, and taking action, individuals can serve their communities and themselves.

After finding hope through a nonprofit teen community center, Amber has chosen to spend her life making the world a better place through pursuing a career in the nonprofit sector. Amber is a freshman at Olivet Nazarene University where she is studying Nonprofit Business Administration and works part-time at The Bridge Teen Center as a Development Assistant, where she primarily writes grant. Amber dreams of running her opening a Bridge Teen Center location one day, so that more teens can find hope, purpose, and direction, just like she did. Just a few years ago, Amber was a shy victim of bullying, but now she is a confident leader that takes pride in being a voice for the youth in her community, while mobilizing the community as a whole to “Find Purpose through Service”.
