In 2010, deep in Helmand Province, Afghanistan, a young U.S. Army radio operator named Corporal Mason Ellis stayed on frequency long after his entire patrol went silent. Cut off from command, surrounded by chaos, and armed with nothing but a radio and his training, he held the line alone — guiding air support, coordinating artillery, and refusing to stop transmitting even when he knew no one might answer.
This is The Last Transmission — the story of an unsung hero who saved lives with his voice instead of a weapon. Based on the real experiences of U.S. soldiers during the War on Terror, it captures the isolation, courage, and impossible choices faced by those who fight wars the world forgets. At Combat Outpost Razorback, Mason’s job was simple: keep everyone talking long enough to stay alive. But when Bravo Two’s patrol went dark, that simple job became a battle for survival. Alone at his console, he called air support, guided the Quick Reaction Force, and eventually ordered artillery fire on his own position to save the men he’d never meet.
He was the last voice on the net — the one sound between chaos and silence.
🎖️ Some heroes never fire a shot. Some never make it home. And some are never remembered at all.
