Retrograde Intra-Renal Surgery IntraRenal Reflux
This video demonstrates the intrarenal reflux of contrast medium. The reflux happens as every calyx of the right kidney is inspected. Irrigant flow is discontinued. Contrast medium is injected at a slightly higher pressure and this happens.
Contrast medium visualizes the pooling around the fornix, a segmental vein and finally the right renal vein leading into IVC
The significance of this event is minimum but one has to keep in mind the constant leak of irrigant into the veins.
