Sri Anandpur Sahib has been turned into a fully secured, high-tech zone for the 350th year of the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. With lakhs of devotees expected for the Shaheedi Samagam, Punjab Police has deployed an unprecedented security grid powered by AI, drones and advanced communication systems.

Over 500 AI-enabled CCTV cameras — including facial-recognition units, PTZ cameras and ANPR cameras — have been installed across entry points, roads, congregational areas and tent cities. SP Arvind Meena said the team is prepared to manage 50–60 lakh visitors with strong arrangements for traffic, parking and digital surveillance.

The town has been digitally mapped into 26 security sectors, each monitored by ground teams linked to a central command centre. To keep operations seamless, 8,000 personnel are connected through an advanced wireless network, supported by 600 communication staff deployed across sensitive locations.

Officials say these measures ensure that devotees can participate in the historic Shaheedi Samagam with complete peace of mind.
