You MUST check your Polarity

When setting up a PA for the first time it is absolutely essential that you gain as much information about all of the parts as possible.

This couldn't be more true for basic sound enthusiasts that want to throw a bunch of un-verified & un-examined speakers and cabling together and rush out to do a rock show.

They quickly find themselves on the "diagnostic" side of the mixer and that makes for a long night and not very many friends.

A tool that has been in my tool bag from the very beginning is the Galaxy Audio "Cricket". A fantastic cord checker and polarity checker.

it is easy to check woofer type speakers outside of the box but with this tool - you can leave the speakers as they are and test them in minutes. This becomes even more amazing when you check horn drivers.

Never underestimate the power of a great cord & polarity checker!
