The entire month of December my mailman has been hording my mail, refusing to make any deliveries. He filled my mailbox with small packages along with 3 slips stating that my mailbox is now full so he couldn't put any more in the box. He also delivered one package to my porch on that date. On the 2nd, he claimed that my driveway was obstructed so he could not deliver packages scheduled to be delivered. This continued daily, despite my filling out reschedule delivery forms for several packages. Nothing was delivered since the 1st except for 2 random pieces of junk mail on two separate dates over the next 3 weeks. My mailbox has sat empty all month without any deliveries, so I finally filed a complaint with USPS.com. As expected I got a phone call from the postmaster who tried to give me every excuse in the book and a few more she made up along the way. She claimed my mailbox was full so he couldn't deliver my mail. I informed her that it had been empty for at least a couple of weeks, although I could not recall the exact date that it was emptied. She simply said that because my mailbox had been full they won't deliver mail without speaking to me and I would need to verify that my mailbox was empty before deliveries would resume. After half an hour of arguing with her, my porch was filled with 63 packages today. She doesn't seem to understand that if you bring two or three each day as they arrive that it won't create such a major undertaking when they need to bring them all at once. This year I got my 63 packages just before Christmas. Last year the total was 57, and they were not delivered until Dec. 27 after the exact same ordeal happened. From now on I will be filing complaints every time an expected package does not arrive. I always allowed extra time because sometimes mail is delayed by a day or two. There is absolutely no excuse for this though, and I am done with it...
