The Garmin Edge 1030, which has just been launched, is Garmin’s new top-of-the-range bike computer. Garmin says it’s designed to satisfy competitors, commuters and adventure-seekers alike.

It features a 3.5 inch high resolution touch screen that Garmin says will work consistently even when it’s wet or if you’re wearing gloves. There’s an in-built ambient light sensor that automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness so you’re not left in the dark come nightfall.

The Edge 1030 comes with the Garmin Cycle Map, which features turn-by-turn navigation, including an alert if there’s a sharp bend ahead. You also get altitude data, points of interest and address search functionality.
