"In the past two years we've been growing at a 130 percent yearly rate in number of foreign patients. Nearly half of our patients are foreigners, most of them coming from the UK, Italy and Germany."

"When you receive donors you have to make sure that both he/she and the patient look similar. The fact that we work mostly with British patients and others from Northern Europe means that white skin, blue eyes and blond hair is something we always have to consider. So we always try go get the right donors to make a good "match" with our patients."

"Money is not so important when donating eggs, It only means a month salary and that's it. I have a son and I think is very important to be able to help a childless family because if they can't have children then is very sad. This was the idea when I decided to donate."

"We'd had to unsuccessful attempts in the UK, quite some time ago now, and we were almost giving up. We contacted a hospital in the UK, we were having troubles trying to get donors because of the law. The hospital recommended us to contact a clinic here in Barcelona, so we contacted this clinic and everyone's being so helpful. And actually getting a donor, the whole process is so much easier. In the UK we had to find the donors ourselves and it took up to two years, here in Barcelona the clinic did it for us and it took literally weeks."

"People don't want to donate eggs, because they are scared to get someone knocking at their doors in twenty years time saying: "Can I have a claim to your estate or something. It's only an egg; they're only giving you the potential for life. If it is mixed with sperm then it becomes life. So they've got no attachment to it. It isn't like adoption at all, isn't it? No."

"Regarding donors, I would like to state that here in Europe and particularly in Spain the whole process is so much rational than in the US where it can get like a real casting, where it matters if the eggs come from a Hollywood actor or a very important personality. Here the process is much more humanised and hence more accessible to the patients."
